Laura, my mom had pre-menopausal triple negative breast cancer with no genetic link. This was like 15 years ago. She went through chemo, radiation and a lumpectomy and is STILL cancer free. Prayers and best of luck to you and your care team 🙏🏻🙌🏼
I am married to a cancer researcher and so to read your awe and gratitude for clinical trials and treatments options is touching! He could literally make a higher salary managing at a local grocery store, which is frustrating when trying to support a family, but we truly believe God needs Catholic research scientists doing front line work, so we endure the not do glamorous parts of the Calling :) Thank you for your insightful words about exploring treatment options. THIS is why he does what he does! To give beautiful children of God, like you, a chance at better treatments, earlier diagnostics, and ultimately more quality time this side of Heaven ♥️
Totally second this Jenna. One of our parochial vicars is a research scientist at our local academic medical center. He specialized in genetics and my daughter has a rare genetic condition with basically no research on it. I’m so thankful for the work our priest and your husband do! It’s such a gift to have the faithful in the hard sciences.
Praying for you!! We know prayers work because they worked for our granddaughter and they’ll work for you!!🙏🙏 We would love to go on another pilgrimage with you!!! Get well and let’s make it happen!!
My sister is a triple negative survivor, but she will still tell you it’s awful. She’s been cancer free for over 10 years and became a nurse! I’m still praying and thankful for you. This clinical trial sounds perfect for you. The poses with the Mayo art are my favorite part of this post!
So much good news packed in here! Nothing in the pit or ovaries, lots of awe and respect for the Mayo and your MN man who kept you close, and a solid plan: a clinical trial that is 15 yrs old! And you getting randomized into the option you most hoped for!!! Rejoicing with you!
I’ve never even heard of triple negative breast cancer 😱
Footnotes 6 and 8 had me rolling! 😂 And #10 gave me all the feels. 🤍
Sending you holy energy today as you do something brave.
Thrilled for all this good news! All your requests are on the prayer list going forward. And Rodin and Wolff in the midst of the pits (pun intended) is a hint of silver lining indeed!
Footnote 6 reminds me of a conversation that my well-endowed friend had with her small-busted mother prior to her mom's mastectomy. "Mom, you don't have to be meek and get Bs because that's what you've always had. If you want to have big boobs, go for it!"
Mom stuck with her size Bs...and her daughter still claims she doesn't understand that.
Always praying for you, for a complete and full recovery. 💕
I need to find out if Dave’s sister is triple negative. She is in her early forties and discovered a lump while still breastfeeding. She is also super healthy, active and a vegetarian. She just completed her double mastectomy a couple weeks ago….

I'm SO with you on footnote 8. I find it hilarious to go from ancient to infantile depending on medical condition.
I do like to get a girlish blush when the docs discuss how young I am. When my OB chart actually read “elderly multigravida” 😑😜
So glad you are getting top-notch medical care! And there's still Fragrance of Christ Ministries, in Flushing MI so we can add potty jokes. :)
No way. This news makes my day. Wasn’t it on Beecher Rd. before? Lot of interesting ministries around there…a miracle center too, if memory serves?
I don't remember, other than giggling about it as a kid. Happy to make your day!
For those paying attention to Laura on Instagram know this:
